Echoes of Time: Lighting Up a Historic Fortress with ComfyUI
Celebrate the finale of Comfy Challenge Season 1!
This is the last challenge of Comfy Challenge Season 1! We are celebrating it by going beyond screens!
For this special edition, we partnered with the University of Niš and the Festival of Light in Niš, Serbia. We are transforming the historic Niš Fortress into a monumental projection canvas.
15 animations from the participants, created in ComfyUI, will be projected with a 30,000-lumen projector onto real stone walls of Niš Fortress, on Dec 13th, accompanied by sound and a full video recording of the event.
Theme: Echoes of Time
Create a video about Time.
The theme explores the blending and coexistence of different eras. Past, present, and future, converging as one.
Ancient textures meeting futuristic patterns. Time-bending or looping. Stories that travel across epochs.
Prizes
15 selected submissions will be projected onto the historic Niš Fortress on Dec 13th with a full video recording!
All 15 selected participants will receive a 1-month free Comfy Cloud account
$100 additional cash prize for the Top 1 winner

Winner and Highlights of Comfy Challenge #9
In Challenge #9, we introduced the theme Cloudcraft. We received so many amazing creations generated on Comfy Cloud! Please enjoy the highlight of the community submissions!
Congratulations to our winners: Burgstall (Top 1), tiltdheads, and 伊熙尔杜的克星!
As always, enjoy creating! We look forward to the submissions of the final challenge of Season One!

Is there a surface inside that gate that can receive a projection, or is it open air/too dark for the projector? Also, I assume we can use a negative matte in post if we need to keep stuff within bounds? Cheers!
The input reference can be used as an input in the ComfyUI node workflow to help the AI understand the contours of the object. The overlay must remain stable so the image does not move during the projection.
