Hi there, just to better understand it for the not so savvy on this tech, will a desktop version allow us to use image generation models like Flux running locally on our devices in an easier way to configure than the manual workflows we had to setup before (which I was never able to get running) ? thx for your feedback!
Yeah it's easier to get up and running locally. You still need a good enough GPU however. All you need to do now it install the Desktop application, click on the Flux workflow under "Templates", and then it will prompt you to download the right models. Then just Queue workflow to generate images :)
Unfortunately flux has not been very well supported for Mac. Some people have gotten it to run but it often runs into issues. Many other image models work well though. You can give it a shot though
Just tested it! 117 seconds to create the image of the default prompt 😉 Not soooo bad. But I couldnt see that the resources of the Mac Studio were properly leveraged....
Any tips or suggestions to look for alternative solutions and resources to learn more would be appreciated. Thank you!
Nice work guys ~
Hi guys, installed ComfyUI Desktop on a MacBook Pro M4 Max, generating images works!
Are IPAdapters and AnimateDifff not supported yet by ComfyUI Desktop?
When I load a workflow with IPAdapters and AnimateDifff it cannot find the missing nodes and models to download, therefore I cannot run that workflow.
You need to install those custom nodes yourself. Did you install any custom nodes?
thanks Robin, done!

Sweet! I will give it a try right away! Do you think it would work decently on my Mac Studio M1 Ultra with 64 GB RAM?

Nice! That's great to hear. You can checkout a 3rd party MLX implementation for faster performance. Also join our Discord?
